1Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing or using HTTPocket (the "App") on any device, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
You confirm that you are at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2Scope & definitions
These Terms apply uniformly to every version of HTTPocket on every platform we ship — Android phone, Android tablet, Android TV, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV (tvOS) and macOS — and to the web interface served locally by the App.
- "We", "us", "our" refer to PNT Apps, the publisher of HTTPocket.
- "You", "your" refer to the individual or entity using the App.
- "Server mode" means running HTTPocket as a Wi-Fi file server on your device.
- "Client mode" means browsing or accessing files from another HTTPocket server on your network.
- "Your content" means any files, folders, names or metadata you choose to share via the App.
3License to use the App
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to install and use HTTPocket on any device you own or control, for personal or internal business use.
You may not:
- Sell, sublicense, lease, rent, or otherwise commercially distribute the App;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
- Use the App in any way that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of third parties.
4Acceptable use
HTTPocket is a general-purpose file-sharing tool. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to share through it. You agree not to use the App:
- To share, distribute or store content that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property right;
- To share content that is illegal under the laws of your jurisdiction, including child sexual abuse material, content promoting terrorism, or stolen data;
- To share malware, viruses, or content designed to damage other systems;
- To gain unauthorised access to any network or device you do not have permission to access;
- To harass, defame or violate the privacy of any other person;
- To circumvent technological measures protecting the App, including its password protection, in a manner that violates applicable law.
Note. HTTPocket runs on your own local network, but you remain fully responsible for the content you make available through it. Just because the tool is private does not exempt the content shared through it from applicable law.
5Your files & content
HTTPocket does not upload, copy or transmit your files to PNT Apps Server or any third party. Your content stays on your device and your local network at all times.
You retain all ownership rights to your content. We claim no rights, license, or interest in any file you store, browse, or share through the App.
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We are not responsible for any loss of your data, including loss caused by app errors, OS errors, device malfunction, accidental deletion, or third-party interference on your network.
6Intellectual Property
The HTTPocket app, including its source code, design, icons, logos, name, and the "HTTPocket" mark, is owned by PNT Apps and protected by copyright law.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of any part of the HTTPocket app or its associated materials to you. Except for the limited license granted in Section 3, all rights remain reserved by PNT Apps.
7Third-party stores & services
HTTPocket is distributed through the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store and other authorised channels. Your download and installation of the App through any such store is also subject to that store's own terms:
Apple-specific terms
If you obtained HTTPocket through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and PNT Apps only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App. Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Google-specific terms
If you obtained HTTPocket through the Google Play Store, your use is also governed by Google's applicable terms. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App.
8Updates & availability
We may release updates, bug fixes and new features from time to time. We may also discontinue features, deprecate older OS versions, or stop offering the App on a particular platform, with reasonable notice where possible.
We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime, since HTTPocket runs on your device — its availability depends on your hardware, OS and network. We are not liable for downtime caused by your device or network.
9Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all such warranties are disclaimed.
You use the App at your own risk. You are responsible for the security of your local network and any password protection you choose to enable. We do not warrant that any password protection feature is impervious to all attacks.
10Termination
You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the App and ceasing to use it.
We may terminate or suspend your license to use the App immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way we reasonably believe is unlawful or harmful.
Sections 5, 6, 9, 11 and 12, and any provisions that by their nature should survive termination, will continue to apply after termination of these Terms.
11Privacy
Our practices regarding any data the App handles are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: we do not collect personal data; everything stays on your device and your local network.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product changes, new platforms, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, announce them in the app's release notes.
Your continued use of the App after a change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.
